The idea behind this project was to design a product, service or even an experience based on certain characteristics of a person based on an understanding of the various elements of design.
The process began with an exercise where we had to first gather around five characteristics and aspirations, each, of a classmate, and use these as a foundation for what we ultimately create. My partner had a keen interest in travelling and her aspirations comprised of improving her social skills, exploring more of India, and also enhancing her creative and observatory skills. Based on these pointers, I decided to design her a colourful journal that would include activities of interest for her, postcards, maps to places she aimed to visit and such.
Elements envisioned for the book, based on her aspirations and desires
1. Postcards: To help her become more observant of new environments and exercise creativity
2. Group activity sheets: to help her improve her social skills
3. Maps: to highlight places of interest to discover

Maps of Uttarakhand & Himachal Pradesh were created for her to plot places she wants to visit and create an interesting and fun activity within the journal.
